Pamela passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on December 12, 1937, and raised in Wellesley, Pam graduated from Tufts University, Class of 1959, and went on to pursue graduate studies at Stanford University, where she earned a Master of Arts in Philosophy. Pam served as Editorial Assistant and later Manuscript Editor at the Harvard Business Review, and as Assistant Editor of Dædalus, the journal of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She also taught English at Maynard High School and writing at MassBay Community College. Pam was an avid attendee of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and took great joy in music, ballet, and art in general. She was also a generous supporter of the Sanders Theatre, the World Wildlife Fund, and the Appalachian Mountain Club. An animal lover, Pam enjoyed sharing stories about her beloved pets over the years, including her cat, Damascus, her pet raccoon, Becky, and her dog, Wolf. She also loved to travel and explored many countries throughout her life. Pam was a longtime member and supporter of the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Weston. Pam was predeceased by her beloved parents, Joseph S. Banks and Virginia Banks. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at First Parish Church in Weston, 349 Boston Post Road, Weston, Massachusetts.
