Michelle Doris Youell of Arlington MA passed away on March 27, 2025 peacefully at home.
Michelle was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Pierrette MacGregor. She leaves behind her son, Tony Perella and his wife Anne of Falmouth MA. Michelle is survived by her four granddaughters, Jacqueline Toomey of Reading MA, Lauren Ellerbrook of Shrewsbury MA, Laurianne Morello of Poland, Maine and Catherine Mangiaratti of Westford, MA.
Tessa (as she was known by her grandchildren) is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Michelle was the beloved stepmother to Christine Harden and her husband, Bob, Tyler Youell, Kathy McCarthy, and Susan Sherman and their children.
Michelle also leaves behind her dear friend Marianne D’Amico.
Michelle was the beloved wife of the late Willis R. Youell.
Michelle was a foreign language teacher at Cambridge High School for 25 years. Upon retirement, she pursued many cultural interests, including singing with the Liberty Belles Chorale, acting in many films as a member of Screen Actors Guild.
She was a member of the Austro-American Association. She enjoyed all of the their events, especially the musical programs, and the friendship of the members who loved her.
She was a frequent follower of the Boston Symphony.
Services and burial are private. A celebration of Michelle’s life will take place at a later date.
